ONA Code of Conduct
It's imperative to remind everyone how important the ONA Code of Conduct is. We will be discussing sensitive topics during the House of Delegates where we will agree and disagree. With that in mind, it's vital that we remember to respect each other. For this reason, the following is a segment of the Code of Conduct. The ONA is a democratic organization that values open and vigorous discussion of the issues facing the ONA, our members, the nursing profession, working with people and the labor movement. This Code of Conduct is not intended to restrict free and open debate, but rather it's concerned with preventing unacceptable behavior. The ONA expects all participants in ONA activities, events or meetings to the conform to the following Code of Conduct: Respect others and their views, recognize and value individual differences, do not engage in aggressive bullying or intimidating behavior and do not engage in discriminatory or harassing behavior.
