I'm passionate about improving the work environments of nurses everywhere, advancing nursing professional development, and fighting for our profession. Here at ONA I serve as a resource for Ohio nurses on nursing practice issues and I provide education to help nurses better understand nursing law and rules in our state. I staff several Councils and caucuses, as well as work closely with the New Nurse Network, Publications Committee and CE Council.
Prior to working at ONA, I was an Emergency Department nurse with experience in medical-surgical and outpatient care.
My first love is writing, and I am a published freelance copywriter featured in Nurse Focus, Ohio Nurses Review, American Nurse, Working Nurse and edumed. I also serve as a Reviewer for the Journal for Continuing Education in Nursing.
