Bio

My medical career began when I joined the military as a healthcare specialist/ medic/ 68W in 2011. I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. I served in the US army until 2015, then went to nursing school a few months later. I attended Florida International University to obtain my BSN. I was in the Veterans to BSN program which was an accelerated program (12 months) for veterans who served in the medical field. After graduating that December, I passed boards the following February (2017) and began working in the emergency department at Advent Health located in Killeen, TX. I worked there for over a year before moving to the Mid-Ohio Valley where I started working in the Emergency Department at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. Shortly after, I took a PRN position at Marietta Memorial Hospital in the geriatric psychiatric unit. I stopped working in the ED at CCMC in order to return to school. I am currently in my second year of the BSN to DNP program at Ohio State University in Columbus. Due to the school load, my last day working at Marietta Memorial Hospital was in November 2020. I will graduate with my MSN as an FNP in May 2022 and with my doctorate in 2023.

I am a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine RN/NP group and plan to become a certified Lifestyle Medicine provider after obtaining my MSN.
