Melanie M. Morris, MBA, BSN, RN, NPD-BC, CCRN-K earned her degrees from the University of Akron. She retired after 14 years as the Off Shift Nursing Professional Development Specialist at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and currently works per diem as a Nursing Operations Manager at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. Her prior experience includes multiple bedside and management roles with a focus in critical care. She is Board Certified in Critical Care and Nursing Professional Development, is an active member of many professional organizations including the Association of Nursing Professional Development where she is the current Chair of the Innovation (Education) Committee, her local ANPD Pentagon affiliate, AACN-GAAC (Greater Akron Area Chapter of AACN), and ONA as a member of the Continuing Education Council as well as a peer reviewer for Individual Activities and Provider Unit Applications.
