2019 marks my first year serving as delegate from SONA (more specifically, UCMC's RNA) at the ONA convention in Cincinnati. I have been a member of the RNA since 2012, where I have served as a unit organizer (NICU).
Previous to my career at UCMC, I served as a volunteer nurse at the Welcome House Women & Children's Homeless Shelter, and organized a Women's Health Fair at the shelter in 2010. During my baccalaureate nursing studies, I was a member of the Student Nurse Association. As a student at Northern Kentucky University's College of Health Professions, I served on the Student Advisory Council, was a peer mentor and tutor, co-founded the Student Alternative and Complementary Health Organization and the Green Nursing Students at NKU.
Previous to my career as a registered nurse, I volunteered for several years at various local Planned Parenthoods and women's crisis centers.
