The Reality of Climate Change

I hope you all have read the article from the Environmental Health and Community Caucus on The reality of climate change on health. It was published in the Ohio Nurses Review 91 (5).  Very simply put, climate change is and will affect your health and nurses, who feel that calling, should make every effort to press for the clean energy of wind, solar, and water. The reality is we all need to decrease our dependency on the finite resource of oil and gas. There are communities in political fights for the health of their children when fracking wells are placed by schools and release methane and other volatile organic compounds into the the air around playgrounds. If we want to make the environment safe for the future, please join in the environmental groups trying to change how we use our energy, and what we can do to improve our air quality.  Thank you.
